It is important that ministries publish a statement of faith, so that those who belong to the ministry, those who are considering joining them, and other ministries who work with them are clear about what they believe. This is because there are many different beliefs circulating within the wider church today. Below is our statement of faith. We believe that:
There is one true God who has revealed Himself in the Bible. All other so called “gods” are nothing more than demons. He is:
One God in three persons – Father, Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit
Eternal, having no beginning or end, and moving both within and beyond time
Self-existent, having been created by no other being
Self-sufficient, not needing anything from any other being
Holy, having no darkness within Him. He does not sin, cause others to sin, or ordain sin, although He uses the foreknown sinful choices of others in His purposes
Omniscient, knowing all things past present and future, and every possibility
Sovereign, being free to make decisions without referring to any other being, and in ultimate control of the whole universe, and all human history
Omnipotent, superior in power to all other beings
Man was created in the image of God
He was created as body, soul and spirit
He was created to enjoy fellowship with God, to display His glory and to co-labour with Him
He fell as a result of being deceived by Satan and choosing to sin
As a result of sin, curses of sickness, sorrow and death entered in, and have been passed down to every generation since. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
God loves and desires the salvation of every human being. Jesus Christ came to make atonement for every person so that the unearned, unmerited gift of salvation could be offered to all. There is no name other than Jesus in heaven or upon the earth by which men can be saved, and men cannot be saved by their own “righteousness” or works. Jesus is the only way to God. He is the only truth and life.
Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived among us as man and God, and was crucified on the cross to be our Ransom and Redeemer. He died and rose again, then ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
All those who accept the gift of salvation and remain in Jesus Christ by faith will spend eternity in Heaven with God, having received immortality. Those who reject salvation will be separated from God for eternity.
To receive salvation, a person must believe in who God is and what He has done in Christ, and repent of their sins. God has provided the grace to enable them to do this. They are then justified (made of right legal standing with God) and regenerated (given new life).
When we pray, we are to pray to God alone, in the Name of His Son Jesus Christ alone. Any attempt to pray to Mary, the “saints”, or any being other than God, is idolatry and necromancy – trying to contact the dead.
The Holy Spirit fills every born-again believer, enabling them to be progressively sanctified, and empowering them to do the works that Jesus did. All of the spiritual gifts are available to believers today. Every believer has been given authority over all the power and works of the enemy, and is able to heal the sick, cast out demons, and cancel curses.
The church is the Body and Bride of Christ and the priesthood of all believers, having been called out and commissioned to preach the Gospel to all people and make disciples of all nations. The true church is not a denomination, but consists of all those who genuinely believe in, worship, follow and serve Jesus Christ.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, and is our authority in matters of doctrine. Any teaching that contradicts Scripture is to be rejected.
